Crest Hardware Art Show
Since opening Crest Hardware in 1962, Manny Franquinha has become an icon in the Williamsburg neighborhood through his dedication to customer service and focus on community improvement. Crest Hardware is an exemplary family business that has strengthened and transformed with their community’s ever-evolving needs and passions. As current manager of Crest Hardware and curator of the art show, Manny’s son Joe creates a unique non-traditional atmosphere to showcase the hardware inspired artwork of over 120 artists; representing areas within and beyond the borders of the five boroughs, including places as close as Massachusetts and as far as Munich, Germany.
The Crest Hardware Art Show is a unique experience appealing to a broad range of patrons while exhibiting numerous artistic mediums. The ideas and concepts in the art show are rendered on multiple creative levels, allowing for an accessible experience and journey throughout the 10,000+ square feet of indoor and outdoor retail space. Crest Hardware is retooled into a recognized art gallery from June 19th to July 30th 2010 showcases over 150 pieces.

The Team
JOSEPH FRANQUINHA
Curator of Crest Hardware Art Show / Executive Director of Crest Fest / Owner of Crest Hardware
Joe, also know as the unofficial mayor of Williamsburg, has been curating/producing Crest Fest and C.H.A.S. for the last three years. His goal is to make it the raddest event ever attended in your life. When he isn’t falling asleep, he enjoys a good plate of softshell crabs, working in the Crest Urban Garden Center, a good margarita (no salt) and long walks in Macri Park.
JEREMIAH DAVIDSON PR / Sponsorship / Events
Jeremiah is witty, funny, and more sensitive than his looks imply. He is now a full time grad student by day and a Crest Fest super organizer by night. Jeremiah’s two favorite things are patchouli oil and dental floss.
LIZA SHIELDS
Associate Producer of Crest Fest/Art Director of C.H.A.S & Crest Fest/Volunteer Manager
Liza, a Pittsburgh native hopes to one day have Steelers superbowl rings on every one of her fingers and toes. She like to smell things inappropriately and punch things undeservingly. She enjoys making softshell crabs and margaritas (no salt). Despite her quirks, she works as hard as she is weird. She’s very weird.
